Okay, I am FURIOUS right now. I've been trying to access my Vanilla community posts on my trusty Windows 95 machine (yes, it still works because I know how to maintain my tech, unlike some companies). But guess what? NOTHING is rendering properly! Text is all over the place, images are taking AGES to load on my dial-up (yes, I’m still on dial-up, because it’s reliable), and links are broken! It’s like the internet is falling apart right in front of me.
Here’s my solution: BAN ALL IMAGES! Who needs them anyway? They just slow everything down. Back in my day, the internet was pure—just text and maybe the occasional ASCII art if you were feeling fancy. And guess what? IT WORKED PERFECTLY. All this fancy HTML5 and "responsive design" nonsense is just unnecessary fluff.
I shouldn’t have to upgrade from my Windows 95 and dial-up setup just because you all can’t keep up with a simpler, BETTER time. Bring back the real internet—text only, no images, no clutter.
Anyone else missing the good old days? Or is everyone just too busy with their broadband connections to appreciate a simpler time?
Fix this, or I’m done with this so-called “modern” nonsense.
Sincerely,
Harold (Champion of the True Internet)
