Hey everyone,
I just discovered something awesome in Vanilla Forums that I had to share! We’ve been working hard to encourage more peer-to-peer support in our community, and I found a great way to boost engagement—rewarding users with points when they answer questions and their answer gets marked as accepted!
All you need to do is:
- Go to Settings
- Navigate to Addons
- Activate or adjust the Q&A Addon
- Set the points value for accepted answers
It’s super simple but incredibly effective. By giving users points for answering questions, we’ve noticed a real increase in how quickly users jump in to help each other. It’s a win-win for both the person asking and the one helping out!
For extra fun, we’ve also set up a leaderboard so users can see who’s racking up the most points. It adds a bit of healthy competition and bragging rights, and our community is loving it. The more they help, the more recognition they get.
I highly recommend trying this out if you want to encourage more participation and make the community experience even more fun. Gamification really works!
Has anyone else used this feature? Any other tips for rewarding users?
Cheers,
Jordan
